Seafest does nicely.

Dr. Zeus (aka: John Heseltine) up on the Starboard Side of Canada has put together a pretty nice blog for the J/29s that seem to breed up there (25 at last count).

Check it out [here].

Former J/29'ers receive the KWRW 2009
Paul Washburn Award
"For the Love of the Sport"
John and Linda Edwards (Rhumb Punch) received the annual "Paul Washburn Award". (Steve Washburn, a veteran member of the Premiere Racing team in Key West, established the “For the Love of the Sport” award last year in honor of his youngest son Paul.)

For the full story, [click here]

Why would we note this award on our J/29 site? Well, even though John & Lidna have moved over to the M/F 30, the award was based on all the work they did on their J/29 over the years. Plus they (in a lapse of good judgment) introduced me to the disease sport of sailboat racing.

BTW, they also won their class at this regatta.

Not too shabby a week, huh?

It is that time of year again.
Please remember that the J/29 Class By-Laws stipulate ...

"No yacht shall race under J/29 Class Association sanction unless the owner and helmsman(men) are full members of the J/29 Class Association."
